House Fire in Ripon

RIPON, Wis. (WRPN) – Ripon Area Fire District crews responded to a house fire at 545 Watson Street at 1:36 p.m. Tuesday afternoon.

Assistant Chief Heather Donovan says the fire was in the third floor living space. The fire was quickly knocked down. There was no fire extension and minimal smoke damage. The second floor had some water damage. No residents, firefighters, or pets were injured.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Donovan says they did request mutual aid and received it from fire departments from Brandon-Fairwater and Markesan. Ripon Police also responded to the scene.
