Fond du Lac Domestic Violence Incident

RIPON, Wis. (WRPN) – Fond du Lac Police arrested a 45-year-old Fond du Lac man on Saturday night following a domestic violence incident in the 1000 block of Primrose Lane.

According to police, officers responded to the incident around 7:30 p.m. in the parking lot of an apartment complex. They found a 43-year-old woman who had been physically assaulted by her husband.

Witnesses told officers the man fled back into his apartment, and shortly afterwards, they heard what they believed was a single gunshot. 

The victim was taken to a safe location and neighboring residents were urged to shelter-in-place. Due to the potential threat SWAT, Crisis Negotiation, and other specialty teams also responded.

The situation was safely resolved about three hours later and the suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
