RHS Student Named National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist

RIPON, Wis. (WRPN) – Ripon High School student Sean Kinder has been named a Semi-Finalist in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program.

Officials of the National Merit Scholarship Corporation announced the names of more than 16,000 Semifinalists in the 71st annual program. These academically talented high school seniors have an opportunity to continue in the competition for some 6,930 National Merit Scholarships worth nearly $26 million that will be offered next spring. 

Ripon High School Principal Bill Kinziger says, “To be named one of the top in the nation is an outstanding achievement for Sean. When hard work and talent are combined, outstanding outcomes result. Congratulations to Sean.”
