RIPON, Wis. (WRPN) – The Van Dyne Fire Department Board of Directors sent out letters to town of Black Wolf residents urging them to attend tonight’s meeting of the Town Board.

In the letter, the Fire Department Board says not many residents are aware of proposed changes to the ambulance service. The Town Board is considering switching ambulance services from the Oshkosh Fire Department to Lifestar Ambulance.

The Van Dyne Board’s main concerns are response times, levels of care, and unknown station locations. They point out the Oshkosh Fire Department provides reliable and fast care, while there are too many unknowns with Lifestar.

The Town Board’s meeting will be at the Town Hall in Oshkosh at 7 p.m.
