Skeletal Remains Found in Wautoma

WAUTOMA, Wis. (WAUH) – Police in Wautoma say skeletal remains were found Tuesday afternoon in a vacant lot on Division Street.

When officers arrived, they spoke with a person who found the remains while mowing the property. The scene was processed by the Waushara County Medical Examiner and the Wisconsin Department of Justice Crime Scene Response Team.

A name is not being released pending further identification and family notification. There is no indication of a threat to community safety.
