Oshkosh Shooting Suspect in Custody

WAUTOMA, Wis (WAUH)- Police in Oshkosh took a 17-year-old man into custody on first-degree attempted homicide and other charges Sunday.

The teen was a person of interest in a shooting that occurred in the 600 block of Franklin Street Saturday afternoon. He was located in the 1200 block of West 12^th Avenue and was taken to the Winnebago County Jail.

Around 1:50 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, officers were dispatched to the area of Central Street and West Irving Avenue for a report of gunshots. They found a 20-year-old man with a gunshot wound. He was treated at a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police say it was an isolated incident between the victim and the shooter.
