One Step Forward, Two Steps WAY Back (Hour 1)
It's Friday and the weekend, starts here. Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul had a victory for AmeriCorps, as well as the state against The Felon President. And it looks like the film industry is one step closer to getting help from the state if creators want to make movies here. And it seems the Big Bill For Billionaires couldn't sink lower, just wait, because pets are next. Then, we are joined by Michelle Velasquez Chief Strategy Officer of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin on how the aforementioned bill is looking to strip away funding for Planned Parenthood via Medicaid. And then if you're looking to get a dog this summer, places like The Wisconsin Humane Society, MADACC and HAWS are all in need of help. Whether it's finding a forever home for your new best friend or fostering, the Humane Society is running a special which makes it very affordable to get a new buddy.

We’ll also talk about the cuts being proposed to Planned Parenthood that won’t do a single thing to curtail abortion care—they’ll only hurt basic healthcare services to women and men across Wisconsin.

Stupid Ads And We Have A Hot Mic, Mike (Hour 1)
We are five days until the election and we accept that some of you may still need to make up your mind, but please, PLEASE, don't let a political ad (or mailer) help with that decision. To quote our uncles at Thanksgiving, "Do Your Own Research". Then Speaker of the House and Dorian Grey poster child Mike Johnson had some very blunt things to say regarding the upcoming session of the house, if the GOP wins. Then Michelle Velasquez from Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin joins the show and we talk about the last days of the election and what they are doing to get the message out to the voters.

For Our Shared Humanity (Hour 1)
Sometimes it can feel like there is too much dividing us for us to unite. Don't believe that. Cling to our shared humanity.
At the top of the hour, Dom and Producer Jess take time to acknowledge the one-year anniversary of the Hamas attacks on Israel. In the year since, war has ravaged the Levant. Why? Why can't we see past the limited factors that divide us to the entirety that unites us? This is a complicated issue, and we recognize that as two people, we can only provide two perspectives. This opinion shared many of the conflicting emotions we're struggling with today. Everywhere you look, you will find other perspectives. In this moment, let's do what we can to embrace our shared love for human life.
In the second half hour, Dom talks with Michelle Velasquez, Chief Strategy Officer of Planned Parenthood Advocates of Wisconsin. Michelle shares the critical work that PPAWI does to keep sexual and reproductive healthcare accessible. Planned Parenthood provides so much more than abortion care. And the national "debate" over aboriton is about so much more. It's about the right to decide the course of our lives, regardless of our sex or gender.
Join Dom Salvia every afternoon from 4-6pm for news (some), humor (more), and great conversation (always)! Listen throughout the state of Wisconsin on the Civic Media network and worldwide on the Civic Media app. Call or text to join the fun at 855-752-4842.
It’s all about Control and what to do with it (Hour 1)
Matt Rothschild filling in for Maggie raises the question about when the immunity ruling will come down from the Supreme Court and what that means. If a president is not liable for Official Acts, can Joe Biden just stop Trump from running?
Michelle Velasquez, Chief Strategy Officer for PPAWI talks about the consequences of the Dobbs decicion two years after the decision.

I worship food
It's the last day of an only-Dom Devil's, so he's taking advantage of it by doing what of his favorite things - ranting about religion! The Wisconsin Legislature is sending a constitutional amendment to voters this fall that would ban the closure of churches and other places of worship during a health emergency. Remember that whole COVID thing? It was fine, actually, just go to church anyways!
Then, Michelle Velasquez with Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin joins the show to talk about why they're asking the state Supreme Court to rule once and for all that abortion is legal is Wisconsin. Even if the statute that Republicans say applies to abortion is valid (a Dane County judge says that it's about infanticide, not abortion), she says it would be unconstitutional and should be ignored.
