Jens Richard “Dick” Danielson August 26, 1949 – July 24, 2025
Jens Richard Danielson, lovingly known as “Dick,” passed away on July 24, 2025, at Marshfield Medical Center in Weston, Wisconsin. He was 75 years old.
He was born on August 26, 1949, in Park Falls to Richard and Elizabeth “Betty” Danielson. Dick returned to his hometown after serving in the United States Air Force as an airplane mechanic. He worked for many years as a mechanic at Danielson’s Garage alongside his father, helping keep the community moving.
Dick enjoyed the quiet, familiar routines of life in the Northwoods. He loved heading out to the forty to hunt, fishing at the family cabin, and watching Wheel of Fortune. He had a kind heart and loved to make people laugh—often with a joke that was just a little inappropriate, in true Dick fashion.
He is survived by his children, Jens (Shaun) Danielson of Canby, OR, Troy (Amanda Kopka) Danielson of Park Falls, and Bethany (Stephen) Kornacki of Mount Horeb; his grandchildren, Declan and Everly; and his siblings, Donald Danielson and Valerie (Rob) Hogue, both of Park Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Betty Danielson.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday October 18, 2025, at Nola Cemetery in Park Falls at 11:00am. Deacon Robert Schienebeck will officiate. Military honors under the auspices of the Park Falls American Legion Post 182 will follow.
Dick will be remembered for his love of cars and the outdoors, his playful sense of humor, and the quiet, dependable way he showed up for the people around him.
Birch Street Funeral Service is assisting the family.
