Douglas Scott Aubuchon, age 64, of Park Falls, died peacefully with his wife by his side on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Doug was born on November 19, 1960, in Illinois, the son of Kendall and Laurel (Lohman) Aubuchon. His early life and schooling began in Illinois, and his family later moved to Brookfield, Wisconsin, where Doug continued his education. After high school, he began his millwright apprenticeship with Briggs and Stratton in Brookfield where he worked his way to management with 37 years of service.
In 2001, Doug met the love of his life, Deborah Scherr-Burgey. They were married on April 1, 2016, and in 2017 they moved to their lake house on Le Tourneau Lake to enjoy the peaceful Northwoods life.
After retiring, Doug continued to share his knowledge and passion for fishing by working part-time at St. Croix, where he helped customers with enthusiasm and expertise. He was known for his strong work ethic and generous spirit, always ready to lend a hand to neighbors and friends. Doug loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and cutting firewood. Most of all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends.
Doug is survived by his loving wife, Debbie of Park Falls; his son, Garrett (Lauren) Aubuchon of West Bend; and his soon-to-arrive first grandchild.
