Gov. Tony Evers has approved U.S. Highway 14 improvements in Richland Center. Governor Evers recently signed a $9.9 million contract to replace the pavement along US 14 between Bohmann Drive and County O. Preliminary work is scheduled to begin Monday (March 23).

H. James & Sons, Inc is the prime contractor for the project. The project is designed to improve pavement conditions. Additional improvements include replacement of traffic signals at Bohmann Drive and County O, replacement of turn lanes at Peebles and Starlight with two-way left-turn lanes and updated pavement markings.

During construction, US 14 will remain open to through traffic. Access to residents and businesses will be maintained at all times. The completion of the project is scheduled for November, but is dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction progress.
