Ithaca boys defeat Weston, move over .500 in conference play

The Ithaca boys basketball team won against Weston 70-50 on Thursday night in a makeup game. The host Bulldogs improved to 6-5 in the league and 11-9 overall. 

Weston started strong and good rebounding led to points and a lead of 19-8. The Bulldogs went on a run and scored the next 17 points of the game to take a lead they would not give up. 

Leading the scoring for Ithaca was Devin Ihm with 26 and Cody Byrnes who made 6 three pointers and ended with 24 points. Caden Keller had 7, Hewston Boland and Eathan Birkrem each had 4, Sam Jones, Blake Drea, and Dalton Ihm each had 2 points. The Bulldogs were 8 for 12 from the line.

Weston was paced by Isaac Jennings with 16, Trevor Westphal added 12, and Eli Jennings scored 10. Jacob Keller had 9, Ross Allbaugh had 3 points and Gavin Kast scored 1. The Silver Eagles were 6 for 8 from the line.

Both teams have games scheduled tonight. Following the 70-50 win, Ithaca will travel to Seneca. Weston is now 4-13 overall and 1-9 in the league. They have a game at De Soto this evening.
