New Tech Golf Carts proposes constructing a showroom and service facility in RC
Dave Hensiak, owner of New Tech Golf Carts, introduced a business, which currently operates in Cottage Grove and Lake Geneva to the Redevelopment Authority (RDA). He proposes constructing a 5,000 square foot showroom and service facility, to be operated by the family.
The business is a certified dealer of electric low-speed vehicles (LSVs) including Venom, manufactured in Monroe, and Evolution carts, manufactured in Texas. The project represents reinvestment in an infill site with existing infrastructure at 300 West Union Street.
The project has been found to be consistent with the City’s Comprehensive Plan, aligned with goals for economic development, efficient use of utilities, and reinvestment in underutilized parcels. Public utilities are available, site conditions are suitable, and no environmental constraints exist.
The Council unanimously approved the sale by RDA to the Hensiak family.
