Fond du Lac Police Investigate Child’s Death

RIPON, Wis (WRPN)- Following an extensive investigation Fond du Lac Police Friday arrested a 51-year-old Fond du Lac woman suspected of causing the death of a 12-year-old child.

The woman is currently being held in the Fond du Lac County Jail on a charge of child neglect causing death.

Police responded to St. Agnes Hospital at 1:02 am on December 5^th following a report of the death of the child in the hospital’s emergency department.

The investigation was given a top priority and involved both detectives and officers collaborating with multiple partner agencies. Lieutenant Nick Hahn says it was an incredibly complex and heartbreaking case.
