With the dangerously cold weather, area schools cancelled classes and activities in a proactive manner, allowing students, parents, and staff the time to adjust schedules.

Official message from the Ithaca District

Due to the forecasted temperatures and weather conditions for tomorrow, there will be no school in the Ithaca district on Friday January 23, 2026. All after school activities are cancelled as well. Thank you.

4k screening will be held on Friday, January 30. If you have any questions concerning screening, please contact Mrs. Newkirk.

Official message from the Weston District

There will be no school on Friday, January 23rd due to the impending inclement weather conditions. All school activities, practices and games are canceled including classes for the day.


Official message from the River Valley District

The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Warning for our area on Friday, January 23. As a result, the River Valley School District will move to virtual learning tomorrow Friday, 1/23/2026.


All school buildings will be closed, and all activities, practices, and rehearsals are canceled for Friday. All scheduled activities for today, Thursday, will go on as planned.

RSD is cancelling classes for TOMORROW, January 23, 2026, due to dangerously cold temperatures and wind chills. Stay warm, stay safe, Hornets!
