The NFL has pushed the Green Bay vs. Chicago game to Saturday night. This will be the 5th time this season (including preseason) that Those Were the Days has been blocked. I hope that you don’t forget us because of our sporadic schedule over the last month or so. WRCO hopes to have our next 2026-episode next Saturday night.

Last week it was rewarding to hear from friends outside the area such as the campfire group in South Texas and the gang in the Quad Cities. We are making new friends and hopefully keeping the old! This is the 40th year for Those Were the Days on WRCO and we have some specials coming up. I can’t wait to get going.

Since I am married to a fan of the Chicago franchise, it is a chilly week for me. I have been putting up with that nonsense for nearly 40 years. If the Packers have to push Those Were the Days out of the way, they had better win the game. Hopefully there will be no more fumbling and bumbling. I am keeping my fingers crossed that June does not read these blogs.

By the way, you can catch THAT game on WRCO-FM 100.9 with a 5 PM pregame and a kickoff set for around 7 pm.
