After nearly three years on the run, a suspect has been returned to Vernon County. Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports Nathan Raymond Lee McNamer, age 33, was located in Minnesota and returned to Vernon County to face charges filed in 2022.

Friday morning (January 2) McNamer was transported to the Vernon County Jail after being held at the Houston County Jail in Caledonia, Minnesota since his arrest on December 29. He was arrested pursuant to an arrest warrant issued by Vernon County Circuit Court in March of 2023.

McNamer is facing a total of five charges, four felonies, and one unclassified misdemeanor in three cases, the earliest of which was filed on April 1, 2022. Except for a bail hearing held on January 2, 2026, McNamer’s last appearance in Vernon County Circuit Court was on December 7, 2022. Nathan Raymond Lee McNamar is currently being held in the Vernon County Jail on a $1,000 cash bond and is due back in court Wednesday (January 7).
