Claire Sardina, focus of a new movie starring Hugh Jackman and Kate Hudson, chatted WRCO’s Phil Nee
Claire Sardina was a guest with Phil Nee on the Friday Morning (December 26) on the first half of the WRCO FM (A Civic Media Station) “Morning Show”. Here is the interview Phil had with Claire.
Who is Claire Sardina?
The new movie Song Sung Blue is a biographical musical drama that tells the real-life love story of Mike and Claire Sardina, a Milwaukee couple who found local fame as the Neil Diamond tribute act “Lightning & Thunder”.
Starring Hugh Jackman as Mike and Kate Hudson as Claire, the film is based on a 2008 documentary of the same name and follows their journey from down-on-their-luck musicians to a beloved performing duo, navigating personal hardships and family life along the way.
The movie, which features new vocal performances by both Jackman and Hudson of iconic Neil Diamond songs like “Sweet Caroline” and “Forever in Blue Jeans,” has garnered attention for its earnest storytelling and strong performances, particularly earning Hudson a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress.
The film was released on Christmas day and is described as an inspiring and at times tragic story of resilience and the healing power of music.
