RAMC has earned Level IV trauma care certification
REEDSBURG, WIS. (CIVIC MEDIA) – Reedsburg Area Medical Center (RAMC) has earned Level IV trauma care certification through the State of Wisconsin’s trauma program. As a level IV trauma care facility, Reedsburg Area Medical Center provides stabilization and advanced trauma life support prior to transferring a patient to a Level I or II facility if a transfer is needed. To achieve this, RAMC demonstrated all criteria required by the State of Wisconsin as well as through a comprehensive application and on-site visit with clinical experts.
Unintentional injuries are the third leading cause of death of Wisconsinites. In 2022, Wisconsin trauma care facilities entered 42,564 injury events into the Wisconsin Trauma Registry. The goal of Wisconsin’s Trauma Care System is to reduce death and disability from traumatic injury by providing the best possible care to trauma patients and their families. Classified trauma facilities play a critical role within the inclusive, voluntary Trauma Care System.
