
After more than a decade of outstanding service to the Baraboo School District, Activities Director Jim Langkamp will retire at the end of this school year. Since taking on the role in 2013, Jim has been a dedicated leader who has championed athletics, activities, and student growth across all programs.
Jim’s leadership has been recognized across the state. He was named the WADA District 3 Athletic Director of the Year in 2023 and honored by the Wisconsin Athletic Directors Association (WADA) in 2024 for 30 years of service as an athletic director. Under his guidance, Baraboo High School has earned the WIAA Award of Excellence multiple times, a reflection of his commitment to sportsmanship, leadership, and community involvement.
In addition to his work as an activities director, Jim is also a prominent softball umpire in Wisconsin, having umpired at the WIAA State Tournament, as well as NCAA postseason competitions. His passion for athletics and his deep understanding of sport have made him a respected leader on and off the field.
