Boaz holds meeting regarding the discontinuation of the Richland County Ambulance Service

BOAZ, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – Members of the Joint Ambulance Committee (JAC) held a discussion meeting this morning (Monday) at the Boaz Community Building in regard to the possible discontinuation of the Richland County Ambulance Service. Those in attendance discussed their concerns and hope to find a way to continue the service in the future. Jean Nicks, Boaz Village President and a member of the Joint Ambulance Committee (JAC), discussed the funding for JAC.

Funding is a common issue in many communities. Brian McGraw is a Chair for the Town of Eagle and also a member of the JAC.

A three-month extension has been given to the ambulance service to find a way to fund service in the county. Jean Nicks says that the service is important to Boaz and other communities throughout Richland County.

The Richland County Ambulance Service funding issue will be discussed at tonight’s (Monday’s) Richland County Board Meeting at 7:00p and tomorrow (Tuesday) night’s Joint Ambulance Committee meeting, starting at 5:00p. Both Meetings will be held at the County Board Room in the Richland County Courthouse.
