Cross Country wins first conference title in 50 years

RICHLAND CENTER / ITHACA, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – The Richland Center / Ithaca Cross Country Team claimed a conference title Thursday at Platteville.

Ithaca has never won a conference championship, and the last title for Richland Center was in 1975.

The teams are coached by Eric Mindham, Connor Fieldhouse, and Brenda Walton.

Individual 1st Team All Conference winners were:

  • Owen Drier (Individual Conference Champ)
  • Clayton Lee
  • Ryan Stadler

Individual 2nd Team All Conference winners were:

  • Robert Budden
  • Sam Jones
  • Pearl Fretz

Individual Honorable Mention All Conference winners were:

  • Grace Fretz

Adam Hess

Adam Hess has been involved in radio broadcasting since 1990, with many of those years spent on the air at WRCO FM in Richland Center. Currently, Adam hosts the Weekend Wake-up and Prime Mover Saturdays on WRCO FM, jumps in and helps out with news duties, handles Social Media duties for WRCO and WRCE, and is the Director of Technology at a Southwest Wisconsin School District.
