RICHLAND CENTER, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – Richland Center’s Large Item Collection will be held Saturday, Oct. 11.

Residents should have items to be picked up on the curb by 6 a.m. Saturday morning. Items included in the pickup are: couches, chairs, tables, carpeting, entertainment centers, and such.

Items not included are: lumber or construction materials, brush, leaves, yard waste, microwaves, TVs, A/C units, any computer equipment, and appliances. Town & Country Sanitation will be placing dumpsters at the Richland Center Landfill for appliances.  Those items can be taken to the landfill for disposal during regular landfill hours from Oct. 11 through Oct. 15. There will be no charge to dispose of regular appliances at the landfill during these times.

However, there will be a fee for disposal of microwaves, televisions, air conditioners, and computer equipment. The landfill will be open Saturday, Oct. 11 from 8 a.m. to noon – it also will be open Monday, Oct. 13 and Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Large items are not to be placed at the curb at any other time of the year unless a pickup tag has been purchased from the Clerk/Treasurer’s Office.
