GRANT COUNTY, Wis. (WRCO / WRCE) – The Grant County Communication Center was notified of a single UTV crash with entrapment on County G near Old Blue River Road in Muscoda township Friday night.

On Oct. 3 at approximately 9 p.m., Sheriff’s Deputies, along with Muscoda Fire and Muscoda EMS units, were dispatched to the scene. When emergency crews arrived, they learned the driver was trapped but not injured. The driver had to be extricated from the UTV by the Muscoda Fire Department.

During the investigation, it was determined that Leanne Laufenberg, 60 of Muscoda, was operating the UTV southbound on County G when she lost control of the UTV, causing it to roll onto its side into the ditch line.

During the investigation, Laufenberg showed signs of impairment. As a result, Leanne Laufenberg was arrested for operating a UTV while under the influence of an intoxicant, a first offense.
