Platteville defeats RC Volleyball in 5

RICHLAND CENTER, WIS (WRCO / WRCE) – Platteville survived a marathon 5 set match and won at Richland Center on Tuesday night in high school volleyball.  The Hillmen won the first set 25-13, and the 3rd set 25-10, while Richland Center won the 2nd 25-19 and the 4th set 25-22.  Platteville emerged with a 15-13 victory in the 5th and final set.  After winning the first conference set against Prairie du Chien, the Hornets have lost two 5 set matches, one to Dodgeville and last night to Platteville.

Senior Danica Pauls had 15 kills to lead Richland Center, Quinn Temperly and Soraya Stone each had 10 kills for Platteville which improved to 3-0 in the Southwest Conference.

Richland Centers JV 1 team won 2-1 and the JV 2 team swept Platteville in the earlier matches.

Following the 5 set loss to Platteville, Richland Center will travel to River Valley on Thursday night.  Platteville will host Dodgeville.
