Lancaster mans dies in farm machinery accident

GRANT COUNTY, WIS (WRCO / WRCE) – A man from Lancaster died in a farm accident Monday afternoon (September 8).

Around 1:45P, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office received a 9-1-1 call regarding a man who was caught underneath farming equipment on Boice Creek Road, in South Lancaster Township. Emergency personnel from both the Lancaster Fire Department and Lancaster EMS responded to the scene.

When the initial responding personnel arrived on scene, they discovered Robert Stader, 77 of Lancaster was deceased. The investigation into the incident showed that Stader, and another man were working on a piece of farm machinery, when Robert Stader became caught in the moving parts and died as a result of the injuries he sustained.
