Chaseburg motorcycle crash injures 2

VERNON COUNTY, Wis (CIVIC MEDIA) – Two people were seriously injured in a motorcycle crash Monday night in Vernon County.

At approximately 9:30P, the Vernon County Sheriff’s Office 911 Dispatch Center was notified of the crash that occurred near the intersection of State Highway 162 and Petticoat Junction, rural Chaseburg, in the Town of Hamburg.

Benjamin Tyler Schmidt, 23 of Chaseburg, was operating a motorcycle, traveling north on State Highway 162 with a passenger and lost control while negotiating a curve.

Schmidt and his passenger, Lilly Ann Doudna, 20, of Soldiers Grove, were both ejected, suffered serious injuries, and were transported to Emplify Health by Gundersen in La Crosse, by Gundersen Tri-State Ambulance.
