RICHLAND CENTER, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – The Richland Center boys soccer team tied Wisconsin Dells at 2 in the 2025 season debut.

The Hornets scored first. Shawn Adams made a good pass to Yovani Serna who beat a great effort by the Wisconsin Dells keeper.  Henry Martin scored the second goal for Richland Center after several minutes of intense play. Martin was first to the ball as the Chiefs goalie was attempting to clear and Richland Center went up 2-0.

The Dells found the next two times to score the tie in the season opener. Harrison Carpenter and Caleb Fetterly led the Hornets on defense.  Coach Tom Stadler was optimistic with the result Tuesday as Wisconsin Dells has a strong team with 8 Seniors returning from last season’s 21-8 team.

The Hornets will play in their first home game on Thursday at 5 pm when they open conference play against Prairie du Chein.
