Arena Home Talent advances to Western Section championship

Following the 8-4 win, Arena will now prepare for the Western Section championship game Sunday at Verona.

BLANCHARDVILLE, Wis (WRCO) – The Arena Aces will play for the Western Section championship on Sunday after yesterdays 8-4 win at Blanchardville. 

The host Bullets took a 2-0 lead in the 2nd inning before Arena reeled off a run in the 3rd and 2 runs in the 4th to take the lead for good. They added a single run in the 5th and had a big 3 run 7 inning.   Nate Jennings started the game and pitched the first 4 innings, and Eli Alt worked the final 5 frames.

Eli Alt was 2 for 3 with a double and 2 scored, Alan Spurley had a double and 2 rbi, Trey Schulte was 2 for 5 and Alex Statz had an rbi for the Aces as they won the semi final game.

Blanchardville was led at the plate by Drew Schliem who was 3 for 5 with 3 doubles. Elijah Knutson was 2 for 3.  Hunter Enloe, Tyler Simmons, and Tyler McKeon all pitched for the Bullets.

Following the 8-4 win, Arena will now prepare for the Western Section championship game Sunday at Verona.  Verona won in 7 innings on Sunday 12-1 over Belleville.
