RICHLAND CENTER, Wis (WRCO FM) – Every Tuesday, Hank tests the useless knowledge that Phil possesses. It is the ROUND-UP QUIZEE-POO.

- Papa Don’t Preach” by Madonna stirred controversy for discussing teen pregnancy.
True –Some stations pulled it for “encouraging” teen rebellion, while others praised it for tackling a real issue.
- Do They Know It’s Christmas?” by Band Aid was banned in some African countries.
True – The lyrics were criticized for being culturally insensitive and were not well received everywhere. - We’re Not Gonna Take It” by Twisted Sister was criticized by the PMRC for promoting defiance.
True – The rebellious message landed it on the PMRC’s naughty list. - Another One Bites the Dust” by Queen was banned for alleged drug references.
False – Despite rumors, it wasn’t officially banned. - Prince’s “Darling Nikki” helped launch the Parental Advisory sticker.
True – Its explicit content was a direct reason for the PMRC crackdown. - Eye of the Tiger” by Survivor was banned for encouraging violence.
False – It was a motivational anthem, never banned. - Like a Virgin” by Madonna was pulled from some radio stations for being too provocative.
True – Some stations refused to play it due to its suggestive theme. - Girls Just Want to Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper was banned in Iran.
True – Iran had strict bans on Western pop music, especially anything promoting female independence or fun. Cyndi was not on their playlist. - Venus” by Bananarama was banned for having lyrics about Greek mythology.
False – While it does mention mythology, it was never banned for that. It was too catchy to stop! - Beat It” by Michael Jackson was banned in several U.S. cities for inciting gang violence.
False – While it addressed gang violence, it was actually praised for its anti-violence message and aired everywhere.
