State home sales continue to rise, new report finds
WISCONSIN (CIVIC MEDIA) – The state’s housing market saw some positive trends in its June home sales report.
Year-over-year sales had gone up 8.1 percent, and the report demonstrated that the rising median cost of homes had slowed. For over four years, the average cost of a home year-over-year rose over 5 percent. For three of the last four months, that figure has stayed under 5 percent. The Wisconsin Realtors Association said that 11.5 percent of all closings happen in the month of June, and increasing home sales this summer could show an improving housing market.
The median price for a home in Wisconsin was $340,000 in June.
