Cooking with Hank - ice cream, Moon Pies, and regret
RICHLAND CENTER, Wis (WRCO Entertainment) – Welcome to cooking with Hank. Do you have the hunger? If you have an old Moon Pie and regret, Hank can feed you!
2:30 A.M. Hillbilly Dessert: “Toothless Moon Pie Delight”
Ingredients:
- 1 Moon Pie (any flavor, but banana is for professionals)
- 1 scoop vanilla ice cream (or melted if your freezer gave up)
- A hefty squirt of chocolate syrup
- Handful of crushed pretzels or cornflakes (optional crunch, not required if you’ve lost faith)
- One maraschino cherry (or a gummy bear with an identity crisis)
Instructions:
- Place that Moon Pie on a plate like it’s fancy china.
- Nuke it in the microwave for 10 seconds — just enough to make it soft but not explode (like your emotions).
- Plop on the ice cream like a true culinary rebel.
- Drown it in chocolate syrup. Don’t measure. This is chaos cooking.
- Top it with whatever you found in the cereal box or under the couch.
- Crown it with your cherry… or gummy… or nothing. It’s 2:30 a.m. Nobody’s judging.
Serving suggestion: Eat it with a spoon straight from the plate, while staring out the window like a cowboy in a country song.
