Hip Tunes and 1973

RICHLAND CENTER, Wis (WRCO) – Hello friends. Recently I had hip replacement surgery, and I am currently recovering. For the first time in my life, I may be at least somewhat better equipped to be hip.

While I have been kicking back with family, in my spare time I have been putting together a show for you. We will spin some of my top choices from another of my most favorite years, 1973. One of our most dedicated listeners suggested a feature with movie songs from the eighties, so I will dig out a few of those as well.

I hope you enjoy our trip back to the fifties through the eighties this Saturday night on Those Were the Days. My plan is to be back in the air chair soon to take your requests and to play trivia. My hope is that I soon will be able to twist, bump, funky chicken, hustle, hucklebuck, and bus stop.
