DEVELOPING: Several Tornadoes Touchdown Across Wisconsin; Warnings In Effect

MADISON, Wis. (CIVIC MEDIA) – Three tornadoes are confirmed to have made landfall in Dane, Sauk, and Dodge counties, and the city of Wautoma is experiencing severe flash flooding. – this article will be updated with the latest information.

UPDATE 4:49 P.M.: The following counties have Flash Flood Warnings in effect:

• Northwestern Marquette County
• Eastern Waushara County
• Northwestern Winnebago County
• Southwestern Outgamie County
• Southern Waupaca County
• Central Fond du Lac County

UPDATE 4:08 P.M.: The city of Wautoma is being affected by severe flash flooding. Waushara County Emergency Management reports cars in the downtown area are stalled out, with water reaching over the hoods of the vehicles. A Flash Flood Warning is in effect until 7:30 p.m.

UPDATE 3:50 P.M.: A tornado had briefly appeared at approximately 3:35 p.m. in Dodge County near Level Valley Road and Hustis Street, the county’s dispatch confirmed.

UPDATE 3:30 P.M.: Tornado Warnings are still in effect in Marquette, Dodge, Columbia, and Fond du Lac counties until 4 p.m. Warnings have expired in Sauk County.

UPDATE 2:55 P.M.: A Tornado Warning is in effect for Columbia, Sauk, Marquette, and Fond du Lac counties. Severe damage to roofs, windows, vehicles, and mobile homes may occur.

UPDATE 1:37 P.M.: A tornado is confirmed to have touched down in Sauk County, WI. It’s moving northeast at 25 mph near Highway 78.

Tornado Warning for west central Sauk county will expire at 1:15 p.m.

UPDATE 12:58 P.M. Tornado is still on the ground north of Barneveld. NWS is extending a 45 minute warning for northwest Dane and southern Sauk county.

NWS says a trained spotter reported a tornado ongoing northeast of Co Rd YZ.

Weather spotters reported a funnel cloud in downtown Dodgeville. At 12:28 PM, a confirmed tornado was located near Dodgeville, moving northeast at 35 mph.
