GRANT COUNTY, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – Another juvenile has died as the result of a UTV accident.

Thursday morning (July 10), at approximately 10:00a, the Grant County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the crash involving a juvenile on private property off of Hurricane Road, in South Lancaster Township. The initial investigation determined that the juvenile was the lone occupant in the UTV and was performing farm chores when the juvenile lost control of the UTV causing it to roll onto its side.

The juvenile was not utilizing any safety equipment and was ejected from the UTV and pinned underneath. The juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene by the Grant County Coroner.

The Grant County Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Grant County Coroner’s Office, Lancaster EMS, Lancaster Fire Department, and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources.

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources will continue to investigate the crash.
