Fireworks accident claims Lavalle man’s life

LAVALLE, WIS (WRCO / WRCE) – A man died Saturday night (July 5) in a firework accident. At approximately 9:55p deputies of the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address on Minicreek Road in the Town of La Valle for the report of a person injured by a firework.

Upon arrival Deputies located Jeremiah Mcquiston, 46 of La Valle. Mcquiston had sustained injuries to the upper part of his body as well as a significant injury to his right wrist.

Bystanders had already begun lifesaving measures and were assisted by the responding deputies. La Valle Fire, La Valle First Responders, and Reedsburg EMS arrived shortly after and continued life saving measures which were unsuccessful, and Jeremiah Mcquiston was pronounced dead at the scene.
