IOWA COUNTY, Wis (CIVIC MEDIA)- Iowa County is receiving external assistance after a cyber-attack was discovered on April 28. The County has hired a vendor to help restore its land records system and search functionality. According to a statement on the Iowa County website, “This is a time-intensive effort, involving the review of over one million images. We are working diligently to bring the system back online as quickly and safely as possible.”
While a full restoration will take time, officials expect to have a clearer timeline in the coming days as the vendor completes its assessment. Ongoing updates will be posted on the Iowa County website.
