RICHLAND CENTER, Wis (WRCO) – Welcome to cooking with Hank. Do you have the hunger? Do you have a couple of bucks and a brown paper bag filled with morels? Hank can feed you!

Hillbilly Bacon-Shroom Skillet

Ingredients:

  • A mess of mushrooms
  • 4 strips of bacon (or 3 if you get hungry mid-cookin’)
  • Half an onion (other half’s probably rollin’ under the fridge)
  • A dab of garlic (from a jar or a neighbor’s garden)
  • Splash of anything brown in a bottle (Worcestershire, gravy, or maybe sweet tea?)
  • Salt, pepper, and yeehaw to taste

Directions:

  1. Fry bacon ‘til it screams, “I’m crispy!”
  2. Toss in mushrooms, onion, garlic, and bacon grease dreams.
  3. Add mystery sauce splash. Stir like you’re fixin’ to win a blue ribbon.
  4. Crumble bacon on top. Try not to eat the whole pan with a spoon.

Serve with:
A paper towel, a spork, and absolutely zero shame.

Morels are DELISH, no matter what the recipe.
