RICHLAND CENTER, Wis (WRCO / WCRE) – The Richland Center softball team won 8-4 over Lancaster this past Tuesday. Freshman Regan Schoepp was three for four, and Freshman pitcher Kyree Fischer struck out 13 batters while surrendering two hits. Chloe Darling and Maddie McGlynn both doubled. Kyree Fischer, Regan Schoepp and Carley Mieden each drove in two runs.  Abagail Williams had two hits as the Hornets picked up a win in the Southwest Conference.  They will travel to River Valley on Thursday, May 8.

The Richland Center baseball team won at Lancaster 7-6 on Tuesday night.  They have a 5-7 overall win-loss record, going 2-2 in the conference.  The Hornets have a grueling league schedule this week with a makeup game at home Thursday night against Prairie du Chien and a road game at River Valley on Friday, May 9.

The River Valley baseball team lost at Dodgeville on Tuesday 4-1.  The Blackhawks managed just two hits against winning pitcher Caden Schneider.  Jack Graber pitched two innings of hitless relief for the Dodgers as they improved to 4-2 in the league.  River Valley remains winless with an overall 0-5 record this season.  The Blackhawks lone run came on a two-out RBI double by Kaden Plumley in the fifth inning.  Keagan Heiser suffered the pitching loss. Quincy Blakely worked two-plus innings of relief for River Valley.
