SPRING GREEN, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – Lancaster came from behind to win 9-6 over River Valley in Southwest Wisconsin softball.

The game had several momentum swings. The Arrows were up 3-0 in the 5th when River Valley plated 5 runs led by a 2 run home run from Ella Hillebrand and an rbi triple by Brooklyn Stokes. Lancaster plated two runs to tie the game at 5 in the top of the 6th before the Blackhawks scored a potential winning run in the bottom of the 6th on a hit from Tessa Schluter.

The Arrows bounced back to plate 4 runs on 2 hits in the top of the 7th and made it stand up for the win.Morgan Hill was the winning pitcher for Lancaster after working 6 innings.

Lillian Edge came on in relief in the 7th. Tessa Schluter suffered the pitching loss for River Valley after going the distance.

Ella Myers and Tessa Schluter were both 2 for 3 for River Valley. Emma Jenson and Greta Jenson were both 2 for 4 for Lancaster.

Lancaster is now 3-2 in the league and 8-4 overall. River Valley fell to 1-4 in the conference and 5-7 overall.

Elsewhere in area softball, Richland Center won 4-0 over Platteville.

Freshman pitcher Kyree Fischer was dominant with 15 strikeouts. She gave up 3 hits and walked 3 in 7 innings of work. Jaycee Gander led the team with two runs batted in. Gabby Key was 2 for 3 for Platteville.

Richland Center played well on defense and they did not commit an error.

Following the win, Richland Center will play at Wauzeka-Stueben on Thursday.
