Law enforcement presence in Lone Rock Saturday
LONE ROCK, Wis (WRCO / WRCE) – Richland County Sheriff Clay Porter reports that Saturday (April 26) afternoon, at approximately 2:00, Richland County Deputies were dispatched to an address on Violet Street in the Village of Lone Rock for a 911 call. Richland County
Deputies arrived on scene and were assisted by Sauk County Sheriff Deputies and an Avoca Police Department Officer. A perimeter was established as information was gathered that they were dealing with an individual experiencing a mental health crisis situation with access to a firearm. It was believed that this individual was barricading himself into the residence.
Once communication was established with the individual a peaceful resolution was obtained.
The individual was transported to the Richland Center Hospital for further evaluation.
