RICHLAND CENTER, Wis (CIVIC MEDIA) – Barneveld never trailed on the way to a 48-35 win over Shullsburg in a WIAA Sectional Semi Final played at Richland Center high school on Thursday night. The Golden Eagles led 11-0 to start the game and went up 27-13 at halftime.  The Miners trimmed the deficit to 8 points in the 2nd half before Barneveld jumped ahead by 19 down the stretch.

Izabel Durst led the Golden Eagles with 18 points, while Erin Lasse scored 7.  Barneveld was 13 for 17 from the free throw line and made 5 three pointers.  Shullsburg did not make a 3 pointer and shot 15 for 20 from the line.  McKinley Russell had 11, while Hailey Alt and Taylor Russell both scored 10 for the Lady Miners who finish the season at 20-8.

Following the 48-35 win, Barneveld is now 20-7.  They will play Eleva-Strum on Saturday afternoon at La Crosse Logan high school in a game that will start at 1 pm. Eleva-Strum beat Blair-Taylor 64-61 Thursday night.
