Judge Orders Competency Hearing for Former Aide Charged with Multiple Child Sex Offenses

KENOSHA, Wis. (WRJN) – The competency of a former Kenosha County school aide facing multiple child sex crime charges has been called into question.

Anna Marie Crocker, 33, appeared in court Wednesday morning where her attorney, Benjamin L. Schwarz, raised concerns about her mental fitness. Judge Anthony Milisauskas ordered a competency examination and scheduled a hearing for April 4.

Crocker faces a total of 12 felony charges across cases in Kenosha and Racine Counties. The charges include first-degree sexual assault of a child under 13, possession of child pornography, and sexual exploitation of a child.

The former educational assistant at Riverview Elementary School in Silver Lake was initially arrested in October 2024. 

Additional charges were filed in Racine County in November, including child enticement and exposing children to harmful material. 

She remains in custody in Kenosha County, with bond still at $500,000. If convicted on all charges, Crocker could face over a century in prison.
