WISCONSIN (Civic Media) – Incumbent Republican William Penterman has been called the winner of the race for the 38th Assembly District in Wisconsin.

The Associated Press made the call Tuesday evening.

The Republican Party was favored in this district going into the election, according to CNalysis. The district was considered solid Republican with a projected margin of 28 points.

Penterman was first elected to the Assembly in 2021 in a special election. He is on five committees and one task force. Penterman is a Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserve and is a substitute teacher. He was drawn out of the 37th District that he currently represents.

Penterman defeated Democratic challenger Izzy Hassey Nevarez, who conceded the race late Tuesday night.
