The season came to an end for the Ithaca high school volleyball team after Royall won 25-21,  28-26, and 25-15 on Thursday night in the WIAA Sectional Semi-Final.  The Panthers will move on to play Saturday night at Almond Bancroft High School in the Sectional Final for the right to go to the state tournament on the line. Bria Gruen led the way for Royall with 11 kills in the match.

The turning point of the match was the 2nd set.  With Ithaca leading 24-20 and at game point, Royall scored 4 consecutive points to even the score at 24 and proceeded to win the emotional set.  The Bulldogs struggled in the 3rd and final set after the emotional loss.

Six Seniors played their final matches for the Ithaca volleyball team.  They are Holly King, Arianna Louis, Kailey Newkirk, Alyssa Mueller, Bailey Wanless, and Tristen Peterson. This group of athletes helped lead the Bulldogs to a first ever volleyball conference title for the school and recently a first ever WIAA Regional trophy.  The team ends the season at 16-5.
