Ithaca hosts Royall in the Bulldogs first ever volleyball sectional semi-final

The Ithaca Bulldogs will host the Royall Panthers in tonight’s volleyball sectional semi-final. This is the first time in school history the Lady Bulldogs have reached this level in the playoffs.

The Bulldogs beat conference foe Seneca 3 times this season, twice in conference play and in the regional final, to reach this level.

Ithaca Head Coach Angie Young spoke to Phil Nee about the hard fought victories over Seneca.

Angie young said Ithaca edged Royall in a tournament early in the season. but they will face a very different Royall team tonight.

Coach Angie Young said Ithaca always focuses on one aspect of the game at every practice.

The Ithaca versus Royall sectional semi-final volleyball matchup can heard on WRCO FM 100.9 and WRCO.com. Phil Nee will have the pre-match show around 6:40 with set time to begin at 7 PM.

The winner of the Ithaca / Royall showdown will face either Gilman or Columbus Catholic in the sectional final matchup, on Saturday night at 7 PM at Almond Bancroft High School.

Barneveld hosts Belmont, Hillsboro is at Mineral Point, Cuba City travels to Aquinas, Nekoosa faces off against Laconia, and Mt. Horeb is at Edgewood.
