Silver Foxes Presents “Let the Spirit Move You”

“Let the Spirit Move You” is a collection of short plays featuring these Silver Fox actors. The first is “At Halftime” a story of an over sixties all women’s basketball team. The team’s rivals are The Little Sisters of Mercy, and the coach encourages little mercy to be shown. The second “Mama’s Close Call” features a mother and son as they struggle to watch one of her favorite movies. Then “The Ghost Hunters of Route 666” is a perfectly seasonal romp with shadow chasers. The last is “Seeing Beyond with Maya Fantasma” in which a renowned psychic experiences some poltergeist activity and struggles to maintain control of the show.

Chris Williams, Marilyn Helgestad, and Tronda Barrus were the actors who came in for this interview. They each discussed the characters they play in these skits. Each of the actors are playing more than one role, and sounds like a must see event. “Let the Spirit Move You” will be on the Wisconsin Rapids Community Theater Mainstage for three performances. The first will be on Thursday October 24th at 2:00 PM. There will be a show on Friday October 25th at 6:00 PM. The last chance to see this show will be Saturday October 26th at 2:00 PM.
